Natali Wood - Almendro

Original work from the Forest Footprints series by Natali Wood.

This print is made from the direct impression of real almond wood, using an artisanal process inspired by the Japanese technique Yakisugi, where fire reveals the texture and internal structure of the tree.

The surface of the wood is carefully worked to capture its natural memory — the grain, marks and growth — and is subsequently transferred by ink onto delicate Japanese paper (Washi).

Each piece is unique and irreproducible, since it comes from a real fragment of wood, collected responsibly in the forests of La Rioja, without logging.

The result is an organic and minimalist composition that connects with nature and the passage of time.
