Indonesian sabre called Pedang - Indonesia, 19th to early 20th century:
Length: 65 cm, blade 48 cm.
Beautiful Pedang saber from the late 19th or early 20th century.
This type of sword was widely spread in the Indonesian archipelago, notably Bali, Java, Sumatra...
Blade in multi-layer Damascus steel.
Handle in silver and brass, small nick to the silver (visible in the photos).
Pommel in finely carved wood.
Scabbard in wood covered with silver.
Saber in good condition, with no play, fits well in its scabbard.
