Large 18K Gold Diamond, Pearl & Blue Enamel Pocket Watch – Chevalier et Compagnie – France – 19th Century
A rare and highly decorative large 19th century French pocket watch signed Chevalier et Compagnie, crafted in 18K gold and richly adorned with diamonds, pearls and blue guilloché enamel.
This piece is distinguished by its unusually large size (52.2 mm) and luxurious design, placing it in the category of fine jewellery pocket watches.
The case features a full border of natural pearls, while the reverse displays an elegant deep blue enamel panel, decorated with a diamond-set floral motif. The white enamel dial with Arabic numerals is signed and fitted with original hands.
The watch is equipped with a mechanical key-wind movement (Schlüsselaufzug), typical for high-quality timepieces of the 19th century.
