Description from the seller

Old sickle with its wooden sheath. The sheath is of rounded triangle form, decorated in detail with incised geometric designs. Very nice dark brown patina. The sickle has a wooden handle with a metal tip, its curved blade made of iron. an old cord attached to the sheath allows it to be worn on the side of a belt. Nepal, early 20th century.
Dimensions;
- total height of the sickle: 26 cm,
- height of the sheath: 18.5 cm
- width of the sheath: 25.5 cm
Condition: very good.
Provenance: my collection, acquired in Kathmandu in 1974.
