Omega Sub-Second Ref. 2901-2 – 1950s
Elegant vintage Omega from the 1950s, featuring a beautiful and relatively uncommon sub second configuration. This example stands out for its rich character and attractive, evenly developed patina.
The watch is fitted with an original waffle dial, a sought after textured “waffle” pattern that adds depth and visual interest. The dial shows a well balanced and even patina, enhancing its vintage charm without disrupting legibility. The sub second at 6 o’clock further refines the design, giving the watch a classic and elegant appearance that is highly appreciated among collectors.
The 34mm gold plated (80 micron) case is in very nice condition, retaining its warm tone, sharp lines, and elegant proportions. Combined with the strong lugs and classic design, it wears beautifully on the wrist.
Inside beats a hand wound Omega Caliber 267, running well and functioning as it should. The watch is paired with a dark brown leather strap, perfectly matching the vintage aesthetic.
