Antique Dutch wall display cabinet in Rococo style, circa 1920–1930, made of walnut wood with glass panels, brown colour, dimensions 67 cm wide by 73 cm high by 20 cm deep, weight 13 kg, can be locked, in excellent condition with a glazed front and sides.
Description from the seller
An antique Dutch wall display cabinet or curio cabinet, typically made of walnut. These cabinets are often made in the neo-Baroque or Dutch Rococo style, and date from the mid-19th to early 20th century.
Key features
Design: Trapezoidal with beveled corners and glazed front and side panels.
Decoration: The top often has a prominent arched crest or "kuif" (Dutch for crest/tassel), sometimes with hand-carved floral motifs.
It stands perfectly on a table, but can also be mounted on a wall. If it's on a table, you just need to fold the ears in at the back and they're out of sight.
Its special feature is that instead of the original wooden shelves, a new shelf was made of thick glass, making it an extremely decorative and valuable piece.
There is a Romanian stamp on the back, perhaps it was made there at some point.
It is in absolutely flawless condition, and the lock works perfectly.
