R. Nogueras is a contemporary artist whose pictorial research focuses on this new series in the human figure understood as a space of friction between the private and the visible. His work, mainly executed in oil and occasionally integrated with mixed media, positions itself in a dialogue between traditional painting and the visual languages inherent to the digital environment. From there, he addresses issues related to surveillance, constant exposure, desire conditioned by the media, and the construction of identity in the context of contemporary networks.
His practice has surpassed the local sphere, taking part in international exhibitions and circuits in countries such as Spain, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, as well as in various American cities. Throughout his career, he has been recognized with various accolades that support the strength of his visual discourse and his ability to transform contemporary problems into images of high symbolic charge.
In this line, his work builds emotional portraits more than figurative ones, where human presence oscillates between the real and the intervened, between identity and its representation. The figures —frequently isolated or confronted by external elements— are inserted into settings where graphic signs, digital iconography, and expressive painterly gestures coexist, generating friction between the organic and the artificial.
