Röth (1841-1921), sizes: approx. 32x26 cm (with frame) / approx. 22x16 cm (without frame, visible part of the painting), condition description see below + photos - from a pet-free non-smoking household! Photos are part of the offer!
Notes on condition:
The painting is in good condition for its age. The wooden frame, which stylistically matches very well, is a free bonus. The frame shows some minor wear, cracks and chipping (see photos). Replacing the frame would be advisable!

Philipp Röth (March 18, 1841 in Darmstadt – May 20, 1921 in Munich) was a painter and draftsman of late Romanticism and impressionism. Röth began studies in Darmstadt in 1855 with August Lucas and Karl Ludwig Seeger. From 1859 to 1860 Röth attended the painting class of Johann Wilhelm Schirmer at the Karlsruhe Academy of Arts and around 1861 returned to Darmstadt to study with the court painter of Hesse, Paul Weber, who later also became his father-in-law.
