Description from the seller
Ettore Percivaldi (20 September 1901 – XX century) was an Italian painter representative of the 20th-century school, best known for his landscapes and still lifes executed with a style inspired by impressionism. He was born in Bisuschio, in the province of Varese, in 1901. He was a pupil of the painter Enrico Felisari, from whom he learned the technical basics that he would later reinterpret in a personal style. His most significant body of work lies between the 1930s and the 1950s. Percivaldi is appreciated by collectors for his ability to render light and color in a vibrant way, often working on supports such as wooden panel or cardboard. This painting was instead made on canvas whose dimensions are about 100x80. He used an oil technique with tactile brushstrokes, often described as "impressionist" for the evocative rendering of atmospheres and natural scenery. This painting is characterized by a skillful use of light and shadow. The painting of considerable size, about 100x80 cm without a frame, is suitable for spacious environments where it will adorn every space incredibly. Frame not included. Shipping costs include very robust packaging to prevent any potential damage.
