R. Nogueras is a contemporary artist whose pictorial research focuses on this new series in the human figure understood as a space of friction between the private and the visible. His work, created mainly in oil and occasionally integrated with mixed media, positions itself in a dialogue between traditional painting and the visual languages of the digital environment. From there, he addresses questions related to surveillance, constant exposure, desire conditioned by the media, and the construction of identity in the context of contemporary networks.
His practice has surpassed the local sphere, taking part in international exhibitions and circuits in countries such as Spain, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, as well as in various cities in the United States. Throughout his career, he has been distinguished with various recognitions that support the solidity of his visual discourse and his ability to transform contemporary issues into images of high symbolic charge.
In this line, his work builds emotional portraits rather than figurative ones, where the human presence oscillates between the real and the intervened, between identity and its representation.
