Gio Mondelli is a contemporary Italian artist with a versatile career. His painting research has focused mainly on discovering new techniques, styles and trends. After an academic career, his works capture the essence of Symbolist and Surrealist painting. For a short period he painted more classical and hyperreal pieces, but he was not satisfied until he became an Expressionist. Gio Mondelli was born in 1953, in Italy, where he graduated from the Libera Accademia di Belle Arti (LABA). His works are in private collections in Belgium, Germany, France and the United States.
