This work is part of The Artphabet, an artistic project by digital artist Cess in which each letter of the alphabet pays homage to great figures in the history of art.

The piece interprets the letter Z through the emotional and expressionist universe of Edvard Munch, directly evoking the existential anguish and the psychological intensity present in his most iconic work, The Scream. The letter transforms into an organic, almost human figure, twisted upon itself, where the typographic stroke fuses with a body under tension.

The face, with an open and disturbing expression, conveys a sense of anxiety and vulnerability, while the curved shape of the Z reinforces the idea of movement, deformation and emotional imbalance. The dark palette, contrasted with warm tones in the face, accentuates the drama and symbolic weight of the piece.

The work manages to translate into the three-dimensional language the essence of expressionism: not to represent reality, but to amplify emotion. The letter ceases to be a sign and becomes a figure that embodies fear, introspection and human fragility.

Made entirely in 3D (CGI), the piece has been modeled with a sculptural approach, where every curve and gesture contribute to reinforcing its narrative and emotional character.
