Description from the seller
Three 30×60 cm paintings
In this new evolution of the Fly series, the artist transforms the journey into something even bolder: no longer suspended objects, but true icons of 80s and 90s pop culture that defy gravity.
The protagonists are three legendary cars that marked an era: the A-Team van, symbol of action and rebellion; KITT, the first “thinking” car, a bridge between man and technology; and the General Lee, emblem of freedom and instinct.
Suspended by light balloons, these icons drift away from reality and become moving memories, fragments of childhood that continue to float inside us.
The artist inserts small narrative details, almost hidden, that enrich the composition: a cigar butt that drifts into the air, a hat recalling the world of The Dukes of Hazzard. Minimal elements, but capable of evoking entire stories.
The essential background, deliberately imperfect, leaves space for the imagination and amplifies the contrast between lightness and memory. The result is a delicate balance between nostalgia and innovation.

Vincenzo Raimondo – Contemporary Artist
“Art as observation and synthesis of the everyday.”
Vincenzo Raimondo is an Italian artist based in Palermo. His research develops between material abstraction and figuration, in a free path unbound by fixed schemes.
His work originates from the observation of daily reality, transformed into essential and direct images, where color and form become immediate expressive tools.
Recognitions and path
In 2015 and 2016 he was a finalist in the Sunday Painters competition promoted by La Stampa, within the Artissima context (Turin), among thousands of participants.
In 2016 he received the Critics Award, a recognition that marked an important moment in defining his artistic language.
Series and language
His production unfolds across several series, including Fly, in which he explores the theme of lightness and freedom through minimalist and poetic compositions.
Alongside this, he develops works that reinterpret elements of Sicilian culture in a contemporary key, together with more abstract and tactile works.
Each artwork is a unique piece, realized through a process that combines instinct and experimentation, not seeking perfection but paying attention to the expressive force of the gesture.
