The work “Red Curtain” is one of Artur Sudak’s most intriguing pieces from 2026. The painting depicts a woman whose eyes are concealed by a majestic red betta fish. The fish’s fins smoothly transition into the line of hair or form an organic mask, becoming the titular “curtain” that separates the model from the outside world.

About the artist – Artur Sudak
Born in 1965. Painter, self-taught, graphic artist.
He completed a study of painting and drawing at Curso Práctico de Dibujo y Pintura Larousse. He works in many styles, but painting realism, Romanticism, and classical aesthetics inspired by the tradition of École des Beaux-Arts are especially close to him.
He has over 2000 paintings to his name, predominantly in private collections in Poland and abroad.

2019 – solo exhibition at the Bolków Castle Museum
May 2022 – outdoor painting exhibition, Wilanów Culture Centre
February 2023 – opening of “Nic o sobie, czyli sur-realizm, alla prima”, Wilanów Culture Centre, Warsaw
