Biography: JonOne (French-American, born in 1963 in New York), famous for graffiti-influenced works, was born in the Harlem neighborhood, where the art of colorful and elaborate graffiti evolves. He began creating, with a childhood friend, graffiti of his name as early as 17. In 1984, he founded the Graffiti 156 All Starz collective to bring together graffiti artists who shared a passion.
After moving to Paris in 1987, he began working as a painter on canvas in a studio. He quickly made a name for himself in the Parisian art circles thanks to his canvas works, was exhibited in 1990 at Gallery 45 in Berlin and participated in the Graffiti Paris exhibition, where his work is presented permanently. His works are among the highest-valued auction pieces found in the graffiti world.
