AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Please read the entire advertisement text, as this is very important in light of the remark about setting a limit amount.

This painting is an heirloom from my grandmother that was found in a cupboard on the attic floor when she passed away. Perhaps the reason it is oil on canvas and the original 19th-century frame is in such beautiful and excellent condition. The frame is pristine and the canvas in very fine condition.

The painting is signed by A. v.d. Heijden, who was a protégé of Henriette Ronner-Knip, from whom he learned the fine techniques of painting animals. Because the current owner and seller of the painting, who is also not a family member, is not interested in the painting, it is being sold.

A well-known art expert who collaborates on the television program Kunst & Kitsch was very taken with the painting and judged that its quality hardly lags behind cat paintings by Henriette Ronner-Knip. A huge compliment to the maker of the painting.

It would be nice if the painting were purchased by a true enthusiast.

Experience has taught the Seller that some experts on Catawiki do not recognize the true value of an item up for auction and demand that the Seller do not set a visible limit amount. I will not do this either, but I do want to note that the painting will not be delivered for an amount less than 750 euros.

The painting can be picked up in the Netherlands, South Holland, Alblasserwaard. It can also be shipped at the Buyer’s expense against the actual packaging and shipping costs, which may differ from the amounts shown in the advertisement.
