In this painting titled 'Balance', Trevisan explores with irony and technical mastery the existential paradox tied to the rural world.

The core of the composition is the underlying egg, which serves as the sole and precarious point of support. The work visually plays with the famous philosophical dilemma: "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?", merging the two elements into a single dynamic system.
Trevisan uses a neutral, softly graded background in beige and earth tones, which eliminates any spatial distraction. This allows the viewer to focus on the plasticity of the shapes and on the contrast between the fragility of the egg and the weight (seemingly nullified) of the hen.
