Ardbeg Blasda (Limited Edition)

The Ardbeg Blasda (Limited Edition) is a great single malt whiskey from 2008. The name Blasda is a “Gaelic expression” for sweet and delicious. The whiskey matured in Sherry Hogshead casks and it is a very slightly smoky Ardbeg (8ppm). The Ardbeg Blasda is a limited bottling.

The whiskey was bottled with a drinking strength of 40.0% vol. and is bottled in transparent bottles instead of the usual green bottles at Ardbeg.

Nose: light and very clean. Quite fruity with juicy apple, fresh lemon and some kiwi.

Mint. Mouth: again light and clean. Sweet peat, peaches on syrup, lemon.

Finish: spicy, peaty, lemony.
