Big Peat Christmas Edition 2017, 700ml, 54.1%

Big Peat Christmas Edition 2017 is, as usual, a very peaty bottling made from several Islay single malt whiskies. For this 7th edition, 7 single malts were selected and bottled at 54.1% cask strength. These include well-known distilleries such as Ardbeg, Bowmore, Caol Ila and the closed Port Ellen distillery. This year's design of this limited bottling shows the Big Peat bracing itself against a snowstorm on the island of Islay.

Color: light yellow.
Nose: intense and fresh, with notes of roasted hazelnuts, iodine and mint
Palate: delicate, with aromas of milk chocolate, sweets and campfire.
Finish: oily, with malty aromas.
