Who is Pope?
Pope, cofounder of the AMA collective, develops a singular artistic universe driven by a practice of visual arts since childhood, a high standard of detail, and meticulous visual research. Through sculptures, paintings, and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes, and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and awed gaze, attentive to both simplicity and the complexity of the world around him.
Pope mainly draws inspiration from the world around him but also from movements of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name but a few.
Whether as a gift, a keepsake, or part of your personal collection of contemporary art, you will easily find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his passion for urban art through street art (streetart) and pop art (popart) (in limited edition or not), tackling a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (bitcoin, ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug misuse, luxury and high fashion brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, and products of the agri-food and fashion industries (sport, sneakers...).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us fully realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope enjoys playfully subverting labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many more.
Dear bidders, our collective is making every effort to ensure that all information necessary to assess the lot sold is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description, and photos... After the sale, no unfounded complaints will be accepted. Thank you for your understanding.
