Mediterranean Flowering is a work created with mixed media material technique on canvas, in which the artist explores the dialogue between color, light, and three-dimensionality. The piece develops across a richly textured surface with reliefs and stratifications, where the material becomes a fundamental expressive element.
The composition is articulated in horizontal bands that evoke inner landscapes and natural suggestions, recalling the rhythms and energies of the Mediterranean. The vivid colors – deep blues, intense greens, oranges and touches of red – intertwine in dynamic, fluid signs, giving life to shapes that recall blossoms, marine organisms, and movements of the water.

Barbara S. Stamegna, contemporary Roman artist and Knight of Culture, has received important national and international recognitions including the Oscar Prize for Visual Arts in Castrocaro Terme, the Grand Prix of Italy, the Pacis Cup Prize in Florence, the Milanart Prize, the Europe Art Mediolanum Prize, and the International Portugal Prize (Lisbon).
She has exhibited in prestigious venues in Italy, including the renowned Via Margutta in Rome, and abroad with solo and group exhibitions, participating several times in Artexpo New York. In 2023 she presented the four-month solo exhibition “Le Vie dello Spirito” at the prestigious Palazzo Caetani in Cisterna di Latina (Italy).
Barbara S. Stamegna’s works are part of public and private collections in the United States and Europe.
