Description from the seller
TURQUOISE LAKE
95 x 70 cm
Acrylic on canvas
Turquoise Lake builds a scene of movement and contemplation through a solitary figure advancing in a canoe toward a small island. The composition is articulated from a rear viewpoint, generating an open narrative where the spectator accompanies the journey.
Color is the main structural element: the greens and turquoises of the water combine with pink reflections that break the landscape's naturalness and add a poetic dimension. The surface of the lake acts as a mirror, duplicating shapes and reinforcing the sense of calm.
The contrast between the dark mass of the trees and the lightness of the sky, together with the presence of mountains in the background, organizes depth into clear and orderly planes. The red canoe introduces a diagonal axis that dynamizes the scene and directs the gaze toward the center of the composition.
PACKAGING AND AUTHENTICITY
The work is offered directly by Mar Legón, and includes a certificate signed by the artist. The painting (unframed) will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube to ensure its proper conservation during transport. After payment confirmation, a maximum of three business days are required to prepare the artwork before shipping. Delivery time will depend on the destination, with an estimated period of up to ten business days.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mar Legón develops a painting practice focused on exploring color as structure and emotion. Her work is characterized by clear compositions, formal synthesis, and vibrant contrasts that place the everyday in a contemporary territory.
Through still lifes, tropical scenes, and elements of the immediate surroundings, she builds a coherent and recognizable visual language. Each work is an original piece that reflects ongoing research on the balance between form, color, and space, consolidating a solid artistic identity in motion.
