Authentic, antique colored glasses from the 19th century with a handcrafted look, often referred to as "vieux chênée" (Liège, Belgium) and produced by "Les Verreries de Chênée" (1850-1934).
The company specialized in stemmed colored glassware. The most common colors in the collections were sea-green, amethyst, red, and deep blue; mouth-blown, with small imperfections such as air bubbles in the glass and an unfinished pontil mark (rough, where the blowpipe was).
After closing in 1934, the heirs continued the activities, among others as suppliers for the world-renowned "CRISTALLERIE du VAL SAINT-LAMBERT"
