A full size indonesian katana, after WW2 the indonesians copied the japense blades and make their own versions of it. This katana sword found in central Java is known for the fine detail in decoration and carving, as is seen here on our example.
One of the finer examples of an indonesian katana with typical shape, guard and decorated with brass rings. The pommel is in relief with beautiful floral motifs and foliage. A true beautiful original piece with no restorations / repairs and fully original which is slightly worn but razor sharp makes it an interesting blade. The blade has slight traces of wear and the hilt and shaft decorations are of high quality with finely decorated fittings.
