Portraits taken in the Château Rouge metro district, or a corner of Africa that has settled there for years.
Instant portraits. They know each other, meet, dress up, chat, each with an identity, a role.
People no longer look at us; we have become part of an identified group, the Africans.
Photography here is both a testimony and a claim: “We are Parisians in a Paname neighborhood.”
