André Renoux (1939-2002) - Rue St. André des Arts

André Renoux made a splash with his Parisian cityscape paintings. He was focused on the architecture of the city, on special buildings or street scenes. These determined, for him, the beauty of the city. People are always absent. His paintings are calming images, finely painted, almost naïve.
This little painting was purchased at his gallery on Montmartre. In March 2011 it was auctioned at Christie's Amsterdam.
