Karl Lagasse, a renowned artist, gained notoriety in 2009 with his One Dollar sculptures, ranking among the ten best sculptors under 30 that year according to Artprice. In 2012, the New York publication Farameh named him one of the fifty best contemporary artists, inspired by traditional American icons, in its book FOR WHICH IT STANDS: Americana in Contemporary Art. Karl’s artistic journey began at age 7 with collages, sparked by his meeting with sculptor César Baldaccini.
