Karina Beumer - De Vincent Show (Kirk)

Karina Beumer maintains an interactive artistic practice that is sustained by engaging in dialogue with – or being captivated by – something or someone else. This results in videos, installations, and publications that arise from drawings of observations and unannounced performances. Beumer seeks an absurd and surreal relationship between the inner world (thoughts, miscommunication) and the physical world (language, networks). In a dreamlike universe she connects banal issues with personal fantasies by using strategies from existing structures such as pop songs, blockbusters, and live-action role-playing games.

Van Gogh AiR Charity Auction

The Van Gogh House invites artists to come and work for a period in Vincent’s birthplace village of Zundert. They literally step in Van Gogh’s footsteps here, and that yields remarkable results. The artists donate works that are auctioned to benefit the Van Gogh artist-in-residence program.

Beforehand and during the auction period the works are exhibited in the Van Gogh House. You can view the works there and, afterwards, collect them here as well. You will receive notification after the auction.
