Serena Grassetti’s signed original mixed-media work *The Quiet Within* (2025), measuring 60 × 80 cm, depicts a woman in a moment of inward reflection.
Description from the seller
THE QUIET WITHIN
Sometimes, to rediscover oneself, one must stop looking outward.
A female figure emerges through essential lines and pigments that spread freely across the surface. The face, turned upward with eyes closed, expresses a moment of surrender and contemplation.
Color traverses the figure without fully defining its contours, creating a dialogue between delicacy and matter, control and freedom.
The work explores the relationship with one’s inner world, that silent place where emotions, thoughts and identity take shape.
An original work by Serena Grassetti, contemporary artist, dedicated to exploring the invisible and human emotions

SERENA GRASSETTI — CONTEMPORARY ARTIST
Serena Grassetti is an Italian contemporary artist whose research explores the complexity of the human being, delving into identity, memory, fragility and inner transformation through a personal and multidisciplinary artistic language.
A daughter of artists, trained at the Istituto d’Arte di Macerata, she has developed over the years a deep knowledge of matter and its expressive possibilities, experimenting with painting, sculpture, modelling, resins, charcoal and techniques related to Natural Art. This experience forms the foundation of a practice in which the material is not merely a support, but an integral part of the meaning of the work.
At the center of her research is the body understood as a psychological and symbolic space: a presence capable of manifesting what words cannot express. Through incomplete figures, gestures laden with tension and forms that oscillate between presence and dissolution, Grassetti gives visual texture to the deepest states of human experience.
Her work sits within the international dialogue of sculpture and contemporary figurative art, thematically related to the research of Rabarama, Berlinde De Bruyckere, and Xiang Jing, while the comparison with Andy Warhol, Banksy and KAWS opens a reflection on the different ways in which contemporary art interprets identity and the human condition.
With works presented in exhibition contexts in Italy and abroad, Serena Grassetti develops research aimed at surpassing superficial representation to reach a more intimate and universal dimension. Her poetics rests on a fundamental principle: giving form to what is unseen, yet profoundly determines what we are.
