A vibrant Mediterranean street scene by Italian painter Gilberto Francisetti (Turin, 1933–2020), depicting a characteristic alley of Varigotti, a historic fishing village on the Ligurian coast.
The composition captures warm southern light filtering through whitewashed facades, with expressive, confident brushwork and a strong sense of architectural depth — hallmarks of Francisetti’s mature style.
