Robert Zandvliet (1970) studied at the academy of Kampen and De Ateliers in Amsterdam. He won the Prix de Rome in 1994 and has exhibited, among others, at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Gemeentemuseum Den Haag and De Pont Tilburg.
On the occasion of the exhibition Vincents Boomwortels at the Van GoghHuis, Robert Zandvliet created a series of 30 etchings of three tree species: Willow, Pine & Oak. Drypoint, embossing, and intaglio on Hahnemühle etching paper, 300 g, 14.7 x 7 cm (image), printed by Eric Levert Etsen. Numbered and signed by the artist. All works are unique.
Van Gogh AiR Charity Auction
The Van GoghHuis invites artists to come and work for a period in Vincent’s birthplace village of Zundert. They literally step in the footsteps of Van Gogh, which yields remarkable results. The artists donate works that are auctioned for the benefit of the Van Gogh artist-in-residence program.
