This is a work about feminine strength. About the strength that hides in weakness. The heroine is depicted on a rug. It seems she hides from everyone, for a moment alone with her thoughts and dreams. But we see her. In her gaze I sense a plea: let’s not say anything. Let us be quiet, while no one sees us. Until the roosters crow over our heads, this silence lasts, only ours, about which no one knows.
My name is Juliya Navarych. I am 35 years old. For five years I have been living in Poland with my husband and daughter. I was born and raised in the small town of Pińsk in Belarus. I graduated from the Pińsk School of Fine Arts (2004-2008) and then completed studies in the Faculty of “Graphic Design” at the Pińsk State College of Fine Arts in Belarus (2008-2012).
I paint with oil paints on canvas, that’s my favorite material. I use contrasting, vivid colors. I really like painting and modern graphics. I love unusual, impressive paintings that attract the eye.
I want to show the viewer how entirely different people, objects, animals and colors can harmonize with each other, forming one composition. I try to reveal and highlight the beauty of the most ordinary things. In my work I strive to reveal and uncover female beauty, loveliness, and individuality in unusual compositions. I like to combine different patterns, textures and colors. My creativity is my imagination, what comes to mind. I love ethnic style, mixing something folk/old, when many different objects, people appear on one of my canvases.
