Description from the seller
"Portrait painting 'Evasion immobile' - 2026
Imagined this painting in your interior.
This work, entitled 'Evasion immobile', is an acrylic on canvas that strikes with its powerful minimalism and its bold use of primary colors.
The style is close to Fauvism or Synthetism. The shapes are simplified, the facial details are suggested—red lips, eyes closed rather than drawn with precision. This allows the viewer to project their own emotions.
The shadow cast under the figure and the dark areas on the dress suggest a light source coming from the front and slightly from above, emphasizing the theatrical aspect of the scene.
The closed eyes and the face turned toward the sky suggest an inner journey. The character is physically present, but their mind is elsewhere.
The painting plays on the contrast between solitude—a woman alone in an undefined space—and the fullness, the serenity that emanates from her posture.
The simplicity of the dress and hairstyle gives the painting a universal and modern dimension.
It is a work that captures a moment of pure subjectivity. It does not tell a precise story, but offers a sensory immersion where color becomes the main emotion.
Painting by the painter Yves Decaudan - 1954
Supplied with an authenticity certificate, direct from the studio.
