military field kitchen case, originally designed to contain meal equipment for 3 officers of the Italian Army.

Inside it originally contained pots, aluminum mess kits and other utensils necessary for the preparation and consumption of meals for officers in the field.

The chest is made of reinforced wood with metal profiles and closures. Often, the lid or the frame itself was designed to be mounted on appropriate legs and transform into a field table.

La cassa è realizzata in legno rinforzato con profili e chiusure in metallo. Spesso, il coperchio o la struttura stessa erano progettati per essere montati su apposite gambe e trasformarsi in un tavolo da campo.
