Elegant oval tray in Sterling Silver 925/1000 attributed to the Watrous Manufacturing Company, a historic American manufacturer later merged into the International Silver Company.
The shaped rim features rich Art Nouveau / Liberty decoration with floral motifs, foliate scrolls and shells, created with repoussé and chasing. The central part is smooth and mirror-polished, creating a refined contrast with the ornamented frame.
The model is identified by code C3029, present in the historic catalogs of Watrous production. Its creation dates from the late 19th century to the early decades of the 20th century (circa 1896–1915), a period of great production of American silverware from New England.
