This work is another part of my inquiry, of trying to reach the mystery that, for me, is all Picasso’s painting and where it leads me.
It is a necessity to face the artist universally regarded as the great master and unravel the very nature of artistic creation.
To inspire myself from Picasso’s achievements I consider this a way to contribute to preserving tradition.
Original work by Carola Castro, acrylic on canvas.
All works are shipped with *CUSTOM PACKAGING FOR EACH PIECE.*

I strive to move within the act of continually reinventing Cubism with a contemporary touch.
I regularly access parameters I consider recurring, such as the constant assimilation of images from the past, the play with others’ language, concentrating on ancient and modern painters.
I feel the constant plunge inward into history.
My study and investigation of the Cubist movement, especially Picasso’s extensive trajectory, leads me to unknown territories.
In each painting I try to reexamine the problems and solutions Picasso posed with Cubism.
To me, Cubism is a very important pictorial movement within the history of art.
