Poland
The painting depicts five grazing geese. The upper part of the image consists of a carpet made of imitation wood and leaves. From the carpet to the geese stretch strips—fringes. They connect the top and bottom of the composition. One of the geese stretches out to touch a leaf. The painting combines contrasting, muted yet sufficiently vivid colors and is divided into three horizontal parts.
My name is Juliya Navarych. I am 35 years old. For five years I have lived in Poland with my husband and daughter. I was born and raised in the small town of Pinsk in Belarus. I graduated from the Pinsk School of Fine Arts (2004-2008) and then completed studies in the Graphic Design Department at the Pinsk State College of Arts in Belarus (2008-2012).
I paint with oils on canvas; that’s my favorite medium. I use contrasting, vivid colors. I am interested in painting and modern graphics. I love unusual, impressive paintings that grab the eye.
I want to show the viewer how completely different people, objects, animals and colors can harmonize with one another, creating a single composition. I strive to reveal and bring out the beauty of the most ordinary things. In my work I aim to depict and discover feminine beauty, beauty, and individuality in unusual compositions. I like to combine different patterns, textures and colors. My creativity is my imagination, what comes to me. I adore the ethnographic style, mixing something folk/old, when many different objects and people appear on one of my canvases.
