Description:

This work belongs to the series Suspended Horizons, in the branch Presences, where painting becomes matter, body, and visual tension.

The surface is built through dense stratifications, engravings and drips, generating an interior landscape in constant transformation. The palette revolves around deep reds, layered pinks, earthy tones and greys, meeting to create zones of accumulation and sudden openings.

The horizon emerges as an unstable and traversed line, while the painting matter densifies and fractures, suggesting a movement that surfaces from within.

The gold leaf detail, integrated into the surface, appears as an essential point of light: a minimal but incisive presence that guides the gaze without imposing itself.

From the Depths is an image born from tension: it does not depict a place, but a process. A rising, a transformation, a trace of what emerges.

Project Statement
Concept Series – Suspended Horizons

This work belongs to my artistic journey dedicated to Suspended Horizons, a research born from the encounter between water and intuition. In these canvases, fluid matter shapes interior landscapes: imagined visions that do not represent real places, but states of mind, perceptual thresholds, and fragments of ephemeral beauty.

The surface unfolds through light stratifications, transparencies and sparse fields, evoking silence, waiting and the breath of a suspended time. In some works there emerge essential signs — stylized blooms, floating petals, reflected trees — symbolic presences that amplify the meditational and dreamlike dimension without imposing a defined narrative.

The series is set as a process in becoming, open to gestural and formal variations, faithful to a poetics of the unspoken and the threshold. Within this research, three expressive modalities take shape, which are not closed categories but movements of the same inquiry.

- Evanescences -

In "Evanescences" the matter dissolves and withdraws. The image appears as a distant memory, a barely grasped vision, in which the landscape becomes rarefied, unstable, suspended between presence and vanishing.

- Presences -

In "Presences" the painting thickens and takes shape. The matter emerges with greater intensity, yet retaining a dreamlike quality, like a form that reveals itself without ever fully defining itself.

- Apparitions -

In "Apparitions" light rises from dark depths. Space becomes more gathered, and the horizon becomes a distant threshold, a direction toward which the gaze tends, guided by a luminous presence that manifests and withdraws at the same time.

Artist Statement

My work explores the fluid nature of water and its ability to generate forms, movement and light.

Through the use of watercolors, acrylics, inks and glazes, I translate this energy into abstract visions that bring silence, mystery and introspection.

I paint interior landscapes: suspended horizons, reflections, blooms. Images that do not represent real places, but perceptual states perched between apparition and dissolution.

I let water guide the process, embracing imperfections and fleeting traces as an essential part of the work.

My research moves between lightness and matter, keeping an open space for interpretation.

Each work is an invitation to slow down and breathe with the eyes.
