Rare Triptych of Mario Preziosi Inkwells - 800 Silver & Lead Crystal - NOS (New Old Stock) - Circa 1980/1990
Description:
We are proud to present in a single exclusive lot three superb inkwells produced by the historic silversmith Mario Preziosi, a benchmark of Italian artisanal excellence. These objects represent the pinnacle of late 20th-century writing culture, combining the solidity of noble metal with the sculptural clarity of crystal.
Features and History:
Manufactured between the late 1970s and the early 1990s, these pieces have reached us in pristine New Old Stock (NOS) condition. They have never been inked nor displayed, preserving the original luster of 800 silver and the brilliance of the crystal, which at the time was hand-cut to ensure superior prismatic reflections.
The Lot Includes:
"Contemporary Baroque" Model: Lid featuring rich and detailed floral embossing—a tribute to traditional Italian goldsmithing.
"Art Deco Revival" Model: Lid with refined guilloché geometric cross-hatching, symbolizing formal order and elegance.
"Pure Elegance" Model: Smooth domed lid with a mirror-finish, where the sheer quality of the silver casting speaks for itself.
