⸻
Original work by the Spanish artist Pedro Molina, belonging to the “Minotauros” series, dated December 2000, as indicated on the back.
The work stands out for its highly expressive and symbolic language: the stylized, deformed and almost totemic face evokes primitivist and surrealist suggestions, forming part of an artistic research that plays with metamorphosis between human and animal. The subject, characterized by bold lines and accentuated volumes, is framed by a rich, vibrant tactile decoration, made with raised inserts and warm colors (gold, red and black) that confer depth and preciousness to the whole.
The circular composition recalls a medallion or a contemporary icon, emphasizing the almost ritual character of the piece. The contrast between the turquoise background and the gilded surfaces creates a strong visual impact, making the work particularly decorative and distinctive.
On the back there is an autograph label by the artist with the series, technique and date (“Colección Minotauros – Técnica mixta – Diciembre 2000 – Pedro Molina”).
