Splendid Icon depicting Christ Pantocrator, made in copper worked in repoussé and chasing. The Riza is anchored to a wooden panel laterally with nails. on the back the panel is covered with orange coarse-weave hemp canvas.
There is a stamp validating its free export by the Soviet authorities.
The stamp depicts a single-headed eagle, referring to the Soviet area, probably Polish.

The icon was probably sold in Poland in the 1960s, although it could be older.
It is a very valuable icon with high religious symbolic value.

In good condition; it is a work with its years and charm, no part missing.
