Bruno Paolo Benedetti - White Floating Veils 2/25

Bruno Paolo Benedetti, born in 1954, began to take pictures in 1968, studying perspective and photo techniques. From the beginning he was concerned with black-and-white photography, observing the contrasts of nature, the lights, and interpreting the reality around him. When he was 25 he began to work in the darkroom, enhancing his technique using filters and high-contrast films to make his first surreal and abstract photographs. At the same time he began traveling around Europe and the world: India, Nepal, Bhutan, South America, South Africa, Egypt, and the Comoros Islands are some of the most visited places. The study of the religions, the mysticism in all of them, inspired his artistic production, especially his surreal photography, where cultural and religious archetypes are depicted.

White Floating Veils

White Floating Veils presents an ethereal composition where delicate white petals appear to dissolve into fluid, almost liquid forms. The photograph transforms a floral subject into an abstract visual experience: soft ivory tones flow across the frame while warm golden centers emerge like quiet focal points within a drifting landscape.

The gentle distortions create the impression of veils suspended in motion, blurring the boundary between natural detail and abstraction. Through this subtle interplay of light, texture, and movement, the image evokes a sense of calm suspension and quiet elegance, inviting the viewer into a contemplative visual space.
