Description from the seller
Using the pseudonym "Corravale" I am quoted in public auctions. The valuations can be consulted on a globally known site (Artprice); the company behind the site is based in Paris. I have continuously collaborated for about 20 years with the Galleria L' Androne in Scicli. There I had the opportunity to hold collective exhibitions with artists from the "Gruppo di Scicli"—Piero Guccione, Franco Sarnari, Franco Polizzi, etc. The exhibitions have always been a success both in terms of audience and sales. I have held solo shows at the Centro culturale Meno Assenza in Pozzallo. The most recent exhibitions were in Genoa and Venice. I directly provide the certificate of authenticity signed by me. I decided to exhibit on Catawiki to gain experience with this app; it seems interesting to present my art, which comes from an “institutional” pathway, expanding my experience into a new frontier of art, as Catawiki does. I am interested in the potential Catawiki has to project itself into the management of “institutionalized” artists and, consequently, to take on a role of advisor in a fragmented and confused art world. These recent paintings, all bearing the same title, are part of a new series in which I use to represent parts of the female body integrated with the aerodynamic shapes of an airplane. It is a conceptual act that aims to represent a woman with a dynamic and free spirit. The airplane, in this case, represents intellect, freedom of communication and, obviously, it is not a warplane. The canvas painting is shipped rolled in a tube; inside the tube I attach the authentication.
