Bookends (2) - Cast iron - Ex alari from the fireplace

Pair of bookends made from two heads of French cast-iron fireplace dogs, depicting two musketeers, likely dating from the nineteenth century. The fireplace dogs have had the rear long parts removed and are mounted on two shaped wooden bases. They are in good condition for their age, with some signs of wear under the base as shown in the pictures. They weigh 3 kg each. Tracked shipping.
