To be honest, I don't know much about this box—except that it's old. Someone once gave it to my father, with the information that it came from his grandfather. And my father was born in 1937.

It seems to be an old cigar storage box. I hope that an expert can tell me more about this distinctive box.

Heel eerlijk weet ik niet veel van deze kist. Behalve dat het oud is. Iemand heeft het ooit gegeven aan mijn vader met daarin de informatie dat het van zijn opa af kwam. En mijn vader is geboren in 1937. 

Het lijkt een oude sigaren opslag kist. Ik hoop dat een expert me meer kan vertellen over deze karakteristieke kist.
