Description from the seller
Splendid work by painter Andrea Marini
Oil on canvas 50 x 70 cm
With frame 60.5 x 80 cm
The sea of the Campanian coast is a dream painted with light and blue. The seascapes of this coast feed on a vibrant harmony: the deep blue of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the colorful boats anchored at the docks, the cliffs that plunge into the sky. Every brushstroke is a heartbeat, every wave a breath: painting of the Amalfi coast is an invitation to lose oneself in a timeless enchantment.
Andrea Marini was born in Sorrento. Trained at the school of Master D'Urso, his painting is characterized by a solid chromatic palette and a compositional framework that seeks to capture poetic atmospheres with figurative precision.
His works are often identified as the "Neapolitan School of the 20th century" and deal with nautical themes, seascapes and characteristic corners of places such as Sorrento, Posillipo, Lipari and Portofino
Style: Figurative realism with impressionist influences, often executed with oil or acrylic colors on canvas or panel.
Common subjects: Fishing boats moored, reflections on the water and seaside villages of southern Italy.
