Ars Resvrget - Busto Laocoonte

Unlike common white plaster, the bust is molded in a mixture of marble dust and black cement (42.5r higher resistance), a noble material that guarantees superior durability and impeccable definition of details. The workmanship is entirely done by hand, with the care typical of the finest Italian academies where the author of the work trained.

The surface is treated to obtain a sought-after tactile texture, designed to evoke the charm of Italian lava stone; this effect was achieved without the use of chemical or industrial materials. The Ars Resvrget philosophy requires the use of 100% natural materials, as with the ancient art to which we are inspired. For the aesthetic treatment of the surface, Terra di Siena and wax were used, by the masterful skill of the artisan, through a wise process inherited from tradition (it is therefore specified that this effect is a deliberate artistic choice: the object is new and in perfect conservational condition).

With a height of 49 cm, the work possesses a majesty that makes it a rare-elegance furnishing element, capable of nobling any environment.

Designed with maximum Faithfulness and Academic Rigor, the sculpture presents a reproduction of extremely high fidelity of the Hellenistic work housed in the Vatican Museums. The artisanal realization process was guided by the pursuit of maximum accuracy: the work shows no discrepancies in details with respect to the original masterpiece, offering an absolutely rigorous depiction of volumes and muscular tensions in an artistic anatomical sense.

For the work, the most powerful and iconic portion of the sculptural group was selected: the bust complete up to the waist, dominated by the famous face carved with pain and effort. This compositional choice allows focusing attention on the extraordinary anatomy and the theatrical expressiveness that have made Laocoön the universal symbol of beauty in classical art.
