Description from the seller
The painting is designed to be mounted on a frame measuring 100 × 81 cm. The canvas measures approximately 114 × 95 cm, which allows for proper tensioning and adjustment. It is painted to fit frames up to 3.7 cm thick, with the sides finished for this purpose, enabling display without a frame if desired.
The canvas is sold unframed and will be carefully shipped rolled in a rigid cardboard tube, properly packaged to ensure safe delivery.
Provenance: Directly from the artist
Condition: Excellent
Signature: Hand-signed
Certificate: Included
My work explores the relationship between color, structure, and spatial perception through geometric abstraction.
Developing series that investigate how color can build volume, rhythm, and tension within seemingly simple compositions.
I am currently working in two main lines:
Chromatic Territories, focused on constructing spaces and architectural balances through blocks of color, and
Chromatic Systems, where color is organized into modular and repetitive structures, exploring order, variation, and sequence.
Lacalle’s work is positioned within contemporary abstract art at the intersection of expressive abstraction and rigorous composition, where structure and spontaneity coexist in a refined visual language.
This piece is especially well suited for collectors seeking a work with strong visual presence in contemporary interiors.
Comparable works by the artist tend to fetch higher price ranges in gallery contexts.
The artist has received press and coverage in specialized media.
Colors may vary slightly in photographs due to lighting and screen settings.
About the artist:
Lacalle is a Spanish artist with a solid career and a coherent artistic evolution developed over more than a decade of training in the studio of painter and gallerist Nieves Solana (Madrid).
Her work sits along a transitional line between contemporary expressionism and geometric abstraction, with a clearly defined plastic identity where color acts as the structural axis of the composition.
It starts from a rigorous formal approach that is later tempered by a free and expressive application of color, generating pieces with strong visual presence, compositional balance, and high decorative capacity, qualities highly valued in today’s online art market.
Her painterly language is accessible yet discerning, facilitating placement both among emerging collectors and buyers with established aesthetic sensibilities.
She works on multiple supports (canvas, panel, paper) and techniques (oil, acrylic, mixed media), with particular attention to textures, glazing, and chromatic construction, bringing depth and visual richness to each work.
She has exhibited solo and group shows in Madrid, Ibiza, and Portugal, and her work is currently in international private collections (Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Portugal, the Philippines, Austria, and Switzerland).
She has also been featured in media such as El Mundo, Onda Cero, Vanitatis, as well as in specialized magazines and press.
