Two splendid Satsuma vases with moriage (raised enamel decoration) made of porcelain in Japan during the Meiji period. They are marked with the characters "大日本", which is Dai Nippon, or Great Japan. The mark "大日本" was often used on export pieces during the Meiji period (1868-1912) and the early 20th century.

Twee schitterende Satsuma vazen met moriage (verhoogd emaille decoratie) welke zijn gemaakt van porselein in Japan tijdens de Meiji-periode. Ze zijn gemerkt met de karakters "大日本", wat Dai Nippon, ofwel Groot Japan, betekent. Het merkteken "大日本" werd vaak gebruikt op exportstukken tijdens de Meiji-periode (1868-1912) en de vroege 20e eeuw.
