Swierzy's posters have become iconic examples of mid-century graphic design, even though they are original editions commissioned by the communist state to promote cultural events, being the artists' only means of expression of the era; a sublime protest against the regime shines through. Printed in a handcrafted way, the color tone often varied in intensity. This poster comes from a small gallery in Venice, “Centro Posters and Gadgets,” closed in 1971, which mainly dealt with posters, so that it would be pop art.
